The Hero Car Seat from Hernik is a specifically modified car seat from Römer-Britax to accomodate the postural requirements of special needs children. It is suitable for installation in most commercially available vehicles that have an ISOFIX connection. The ISOFIX anchorage system provides a secure and easy-to-use attachment to the vehicle.
The Hero Car Seat can also be easily adjusted to suit your child’s unique needs. The inner padding developed by Hernik ensures optimal positioning, especially for small children, and can be complimented with an abduction wedge and thoracic pads if necessary. As standard, the Hero is fitted with a 5-point seat belt to protect the child, and the quick-release buckle provides an easy and fast transfer.
The Hero Car Seat’s swivel base allows for easy transfers in and out of the car. The seat can be rotated by 90° so that the child can be placed in the seat and buckled in while facing the door. Once the child is in the car seat, simply rotate it to the desired position.
The Hero Car Seat is modified for the rehabilitation sector, and has adjustable and individually positioned aluminium thoracic pads that control the child’s lateral movement. Travel confidently, knowing that your child has increased side support. An abduction block is also available for additional support.
The Hero is equipped with its own 5-point chest and shoulder seatbelt that securely holds your child in place. The Hero also has a quick-release fastener and an innovative mechanism to tighten the straps with one movement.
The Hero can be used in either the forward or rear-facing positions. For children under 15 months of age, the Hero should be placed in the rear-facing configuration, due to the child’s developing neck muscles. Rear-facing position can be used for children up to 18kg body weight, and the forward-facing position can be used for children with body weight greater than 9kg.
To support children with limited upper body control, the Hero has a tilt-in-space function to adjust the seat angle. Easily switch between an active or a more passive position.
The Hero has a height-adjustable back support so it can grow with your child.
The Hero Car Seat is also crash tested according to ECE-R 129-00 (i.Size).
